Design Molded Plastics Donates Team Wendy Tactical Helmets to local Metro SWAT unit

Design Molded Plastics recently donated four Team Wendy® EXFIL LTP® tactical helmets to our local Metro SWAT Unit. These helmets were molded and machined here at DMP.

The purpose and intent of Metro SWAT is to serve as a specialized, flexible and mobile unit, activated to assist member departments in the containment, de-escalation and ultimate control of all situations beyond the capabilities of today’s police departments.

The Metro SWAT is a team of specially trained police officers from participating political subdivisions, which will respond to any incident where special weapons and tactics are needed within the member jurisdictions.

The unit consists of highly trained personnel with specific skills in the areas of marksmanship, tactical response and containment, emergency medical response, deployment of specialty munitions and hostage / crisis negotiations.
